What is Hoopla Digital?
hoopla Digital is a digital collection of items that can be streamed from any computer or mobile device by downloading the hoopla Digital app for iOS and Android. The collection includes popular entertainment and educational content including: TV shows, bestselling audiobooks and eBooks, newly released music, awesome movies, comics, masterclasses, and so much more. You can borrow, stream, and download the content via hoopla Digital’s mobile and online at hoopladigital.com.
Accessing Hoopla Digital with your LCPL Library Card
Our favorite part of hoopla Digital? How easy it is; it’s a real set-it-and-forget-it app (or website!). To get started, all you need is your library card, an email address, and your favorite device. When you get to the app or website, follow the on-screen prompts. You’ll (of course!) choose the Lee County Library in Bishopville, SC and then enter your library card number. Follow the prompts to finish registration and then enjoy!
Not only can you access hoopla through the website and app, you can have the app downloaded on your favorite streaming device so you can watch content on your TV! There are so many great movies, shows, and more to keep you (and the kiddos!) occupied.
How to Make the Most of Hoopla Digital
hoopla Digital has the coolest features. The homepage is customized with recommendations for you based on your past searches, new items from the different categories, and popular checkouts. One of our favorite features is the BingePass. BingePasses are full-access passes to a particular collection of materials for 7 full days for 1 single checkout! These are available for kids and adults. Speaking of kids… Kids Mode is an excellent feature for parents of young children. Parents can opt to turn on Kids Mode so that only materials appropriate for ages 12 and under are viewable and it requires a PIN to get out of Kids Mode.
The My Hoopla section is a great all-in-one place to view what you currently have checked out and how many borrows you have remaining for the month. The borrows reset every month so you can continue to enjoy great content! In My Hoopla you can also view the Favorites list. As you browse materials, there are hearts that you can tap to add the item as a Favorite so you can easily find it again later. So throw all the things you’re interested in into your Favorites list so you can always find awesome stuff fast! There is always plenty to listen to, read, and watch because hoopla Digital is constantly adding to and updating the collection.
