Join us at the Lee County Public Library for all our July programming! Have some fun, soak up some AC, and maybe even learn something at one (or all!) of our many events.
“From Shell’s to Scales & Tails” presented by Carolina Wildlife Center
Carolina Wildlife Center and some of their scaled and feathered friends will be joining us at the library on Tuesday, July 11th at 3pm to teach us about some of the incredible critters that live in our area. Their website describes this program as “Utilizing live birds, reptiles and artifacts from both, students have fun discovering the similarities and differences of these strange animals that hatch from eggs. They may seem different at first, but students are amazed to discover just how similar birds and reptiles really are!” So come on out, see some critters, and have a wonderful day with us!

Discover the Butterfly Lifecycle with Annie McIlhenny
Y’all come on out and see Annie McIlhenny on Tuesday, July 18th at 3pm to learn all about the butterfly lifecycle. Discover how a creature starting from the most humble of beginnings can transform into something magnificient. We’ll also have live, you-must-be-present-to-win drawings for goodies!

Author Signing & Reading with Madelyne Spann
Children’s author Madelyne Spann will be at the library on Wednesday, July 19th at 10am to read some of her books for us. She’ll also have copies of all her books available for purchase and signing. Come hear all about May’s adventures!

Wrap-Up the Summer with Movie, Popcorn, & Prizes
Join us at the library on Tuesday, July 25th at 3pm for popcorn and a movie as we celebrate the end of summer! If you haven’t received your summer reading prizes yet, we’ll pass them out at this time! Anyone who participates will be entered in a drawing for prizes – you must be present to win.
All throughout the month of July we’ll be doing a butterfly hunt. Stop by the circulation desk, grab a net, and see how many butterflies you can collect to turn in for a treat! Do not miss these summer fun events for the whole family at the library. We’ll see you soon!
